So i ve searched manually in wiki and tried searching here but thus far the only equipable light source i ve found is the miners helmet.

I d like to start building more and what are some good materials for building in general.
Natural walls are generated at world creation being abundant in certain biomes like the underground jungle and are of the main components a terraria world consists of alongside blocks and liquids.
This may not be noticeable if both are used in the same area as the blocks tend to outshine the walls.
To gather ecto mist you ll need to create the graveyard biome which you can do by laying.

I m still reasonably early game as i have a tendancy to explore and dig around rather than fight bosses all the time so the best equipment i have to wear is molten.
