Lay the tent fabric on a solid surface and remove the backing on the tape patch. In either case make sure the tent floor is clean if there is dust or dirt on its surface it won t hold the patch. Go inside the outdoor camping tent and trim the hole into a square or rectangle giving a 1 inch clip to the corners. To finish use seam sealer all around the outside patch.

Patches can come with a built in adhesive or you may have to apply some glue to fix it to the tent floor. Cut a piece of repair tape to cover the hole and at least one inch of fabric surrounding it. They say you can patch some bigger holes and i think it would be ok. Wife or children that are very concerned about insects snakes mice etc.

On the exterior of the tent start by cleaning the area around the tear with rubbing alcohol and a rag. A hole in the floor won t impact the performance or integrity of the tent so personally i wouldn t hesitate to throw some tenacious tape on there and forget about it.

If you have punctured a hole in your tent floor a patch may be the best option for repairing it. I have used mcnett other brands include gear aid and stormsure seam grip to patch some little holes on my tent and i like the result.
